Access to the Darsser Ort emergency port is dredged

24 April 2018, Germany, Prerow: A working vessel discharging the dredged up sand next to the rescue cruiser in the Darsser Ort emergency port in the core area of the Western Pomerania Lagoon Area National Park ('Nationalpark Vorpommersche Boddenlandschaft'). Work is to be completed by 30 March 2018. The access to the harbor silts up regularly and thus must be frequently dredged up in order for the DGzRS's rescue cruiser "Theo Fischer" to remain operational.
