Delhi Police Protest At PHQ Over Clash With Lawyers

NEW DELHI, INDIA - NOVEMBER 5: A Delhi police personnel outside Police headquarters as others protest against the alleged attack on police by lawyers at Tis Hazari and Saket court, on November 5, 2019 in New Delhi, India. Delhi saw a massive and unprecedented protest on Tuesday where thousands of police personnel hit the streets seeking justice. The group of protesters sat outside the Delhi Police headquarters and shouted slogans. The protesting Delhi Police personnel were joined by their families as well while police personnel from Haryana, Punjab and even Bihar joined their counterparts to show solidarity at India Gate. The protests were triggered by two attacks on their colleagues, one on Monday and another on Saturday after a parking dispute between an on-duty policeman and a lawyer which led to at least 20 security personnel and several advocates being injured.
