GWR. Firsby, on the East Linconshire Line from Peterborough to Grimsby, was best known as the junction for Skegness, allthough it was also the junction for the Wolds market town of Spilsby. The B1 class number 61390 shown heads a Clethorpes to Peterborough semi-fast: it will call at Boston and Spalding. The DMU number 500038 uses the North side of the adjacent triangle to reach Skegness. Through trains from Kings Cross to Skegness used the Southern side and avoided Firsby. 11th July 1959.
