(Original Caption) 11/5/1962-Havana, Cuba- Cubans stand looking at part of the wreckage of a plane alleged to be the US Air Force U-2 plane in which Air Force Major Rudolph Anderson Jr. was killed. In this photo released November 5th, that Anderson's plane actually was not shot down by Cuban anti-aircraft batteries. The statement was accompanied by this and seven other photos of what was alleged to be the wreckage of the plane, taken "somewhere in the western part of Cuba".
