Genova San Giorgio Bridge Inauguration

The new San Giorgio bridge replaces the Morandi Bridge which collapsed on August 14, 2018, causing the death of 43 people. The new bridge was built in record time in just 15 months, with work never stopping, day and night. The new bridge was designed by the Genoa-born archistar Renzo Piano, who donated the project to the city.
