Yellow Shirt Protests Thailand

SANAM LUANG, BANGKOK, THAILAND - 2006/03/05: Leaders of the People's Alliance for Democracy (PAD), Sondhi Limthongkul (left) and Chamlong Srimuang (Right) march side by side at the head of an anti government demonstration in the Thai capital, Bangkok. Over 100,000 people turned out to protest against the government of caretaker Prime Minister, Thaksin Shinawatra. Following widespread protests Mr. Thaksin recently dissolved parliament and called a snap election. Despite winning a landslide in the last elections, Mr. Thaksin, a telecom tycoon turned politician, has faced mounting accusations of corruption.
