Prisoners Sitting Against Prison Wall

(Original Caption) Montreal: Nine prisoners sit amongst their eleven hostages, prison workers at the Laval Penitentiary here, while others exercise awaiting further negotiations with prison officials as they spent their third day against the prison wall where an attempted escape was foiled. The inmates earlier broke into a warehouse at the prison, stealing clothing to build a shelter against sharp-shooters along the walls.
