Norma Barzman - Journalist And Screenwriter

Norma Barzman, journalist and screenwriter, circa October 2005. Barzman, a communist, was writing during the time that the House Un-American Activities Committee was persecuting suspected members of the communist party. Although she wrote successfully for the LA Examiner, she struggled to get her screenplays made for this reason. Her script Never Say Goodbye was bought by Warner Brothers but was only made on the condition that her husband, also a screenwriter, was credited with it.
