UNITED STATES - CIRCA 2002: On the final day of the fabled Russian Tea Room, executive chef Renaud LaRasle displays the restaurant's last sserving of Chicken Kiev. The restaurant's owners and partners made the decision to close the 75-year-old Tea Room citing the sputtering economy and the city's mood after the events of Sept. 11. Opened in 1926 by former members of the Russian Imperial Ballet, the restaurant went on to become a gathering place for celebrities, musicians and performers.
