Tokyo's North Korean School

The school is one of around 70 in Japan that were established by Koreans who came to the country during the colonial era. Providing education for Koreans who strongly support North Korea, they teach a curriculum that differs to the Japanese national standard. Historically, the North Korean government and the Chongryon (General Association of Korean Residents in Japan) provided funding for the schools.
