Photograph taken at an altitude of Fifty seven metres at 11:23am on a showery morning on Monday 10th May 2021, off Chessington Avenue in Bexleyheath, Kent. Here we see a Western Eurasian jackdaw (Coloeus monedula spermologus ), one of four recognized subspecies of the western jackdaw and found in most of Eurtope, the British Isles and Morocco. It is darker in colour than the other subspecies and lacks the whitish border at the base of the grey nape. A passerine in the family Corvidae, it has rictal bristles covering much of the bill and is on the 'of least concern' status in conservation terms.
