Fissure 17 is still located in an unpopulated pasture in Lanipuna Gardens, distanced northeast and away from Puna Geothermal Venture. Fissure 17 is ejecting aerial spatter and lava bombs observed at ~1,000ft high, complimented in intensity by violent jetting and heavy dispersal of smoke and gas.
