Senator Burr floor statement on Gina Haspel confirmation

Senate Intelligence Committee Chairman Richard Burr of North Carolina says CIA Director nominee Gina Haspel is intimately familiar with events facing the nation, having lived those events with no learning curve, having acted morally, ethically and legally in a 30 year career with the respect of the agency workforce and others in government too numerous to read. Burr says she has the courage to speak truth to power as demonstrated time and again, and she knows all the right questions to ask because she has been there and done that.
