Senator Lee explains dormant Commerce Clause, says Democrats had wrong measure for Supreme Court nominee Barrett

Utah Senator Mike Lee says at a Senate Judiciary Committee business meeting during an argument over whether to report the Supreme Court nomination of Seventh Circuit Judge Amy Coney Barrett that the dormant Commerce Clause was one of them more important things the federal judiciary did, the subject of some controversy which impacted the way a state or political subdivision could treat an article of commerce, whether to be discriminated against based on its origin or destination out of state or outside the United States, based on an interpretation of the commerce clause in the US Constitution that was understood as providing Congress with an affirmative grant of authority to regulate interstate commercial transactions and channels and is mentalities of interstate commerce, also interpreted by courts is creating a cause of action against states, municipalities and other political subdivisions, a significant thing, so Democrats highlighted the fact that some were focused on other issues exclusively perhaps to convert nominee had Barrett and others as somebody who could be measured against the backdrop of a Democratic politician.
