Senator Sanders Speech to 2016 Democratic National Convention

Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont discusses what the 2016 election means telling delegates that Hillary Clinton understands that it is important to invest in education for young people, that the American people must be brought together and not broken apart, that Clinton understands diversity is one of the nation's greatest strengths. Sanders says that the country becomes stronger when people stand together, that he and Hillary Clinton disagree on a number of issues, but combined their ideals and produced the most progressive platform in the history of the Democratic Party. Sanders is interrupted by delegates protesting the Trans-Pacific Partnership, saying that it is important to make sure that the TPP never gets to the floor of the Congress. Sander wraps his remarks by saying that Hillary Clinton is an advocate, will make an outstanding president and is proud to stand with her.
