Foto de stock de Low angle view of the Brussels Town Hall from the famous Grand Place (Grand-Place, Grand Square, Grote Markt) in the city center of Brussels (Bruxelles), Brussels-Capital Region, Belgium.

The Grand-Place (Grand Square, Grote Markt) is the central square of the Belgian city of Brussels. Renowned worldwide for its ornamental richness, it is surrounded by opulent Baroque guildhalls of the former Guilds of Brussels and two larger edifices; the city's Flamboyant Town Hall, and the neo-Gothic King's House or Bread House building, containing the Brussels City Museum. The square measures 68 by 110 metres (223 by 361 ft) and is entirely paved. It is considered one of the most beautiful square in the world and was added in 1998 to the UNESCO World Heritage List. The Grand-Place's construction began in the 11th century and was complete in the 17th century. In 1695, during the Nine Years' War, most of the square was destroyed during the bombardment of Brussels by French troops. It was rebuilt after the war, from when it obtained its current apparence. Erected between 1401 and 1455, the Town Hall is the only remaining medieval building of the Grand-Place.
