Aftermath Of Russian Strikes On Kyiv

KYIV, UKRAINE - JANUARY 9: General view of the aftermath of the Russian attack on January 9, 2026 in Kyiv, Ukraine. Russia launched a massive overnight attack on the Ukrainian capital with drones and missiles, hitting multiple districts of Kyiv. Ukrainian authorities reported scores of residential buildings and critical infrastructure damaged, fires across the city and disruptions to power, water and heating services. At least four civilians, including a medic, were killed and dozens more wounded as emergency services worked through the night at scenes of destruction and evacuation. The assault also triggered city-wide air raid alerts and temporary transport interruptions as residents sheltered and authorities assessed the aftermath.
