Wahsing Machine Invention, 1952

Inventors have the chance of showing their inventions to a board of judges who are selecting people to appear in the Inventor's Club programme on television. and Burgess are inventors. Stella Burgess demonstrates her sheet folding device. She has invented a clip which helps her to fold sheets when there is on one to hold the corners for her. Burgess has turned an ordinary gas copper into a washing machine by fitting a devise the size of a small pressure cooker - at a cost of 30/- to make the lid of the copper and connecting it to the vacuum cleaner by the suction tube.
