Sheldon Whitehouse questions Chamber of Commerce funding by fossil fuel interests

Rhode Island Senator Sheldon Whitehouse says in a continuing series on climate change called Time to Wake Up that the Chamber of Commerce calls itself a business organization but accepts money from non-businesses including at least 5.5 million dollars from front groups backed by the Koch brothers, in 2014 taking 5.25 million dollars from a front group associated with Karl Rove, asking if its board members knew that or exercised proper duty of care, knowing what nonbusiness money was funding the chamber, what percentage of its funding came secretly from fossil fuel interests, suggesting the board members know answers to none of the questions, so asking the General Counsel if they would go with willful ignorance, adding good luck with that.
