2020 Tokyo Olympic Games: Karriss Artingstall interview; JAPAN: Tokyo:EXTKarriss Artingstall (Bronze medallist - women's featherweight boxing) interview SOTQ: GIVE US SOME PERSPECTIVE ON WHAT YOU'VE ACHIEVED HERE- I think doing these interviews has made me realise exactly what I've achieved, Olympic bronze medallist / yesterday it was sore but it's a new day today and I'm trying to think of all the positives / not many people can say they are an Olympic medallist so I'm walking out with my head held highQ: WHY DON'T YOU HAVE YOUR MEDAL YET- I've not got my medal because the finals take place on Tuesday, so the medal ceremony will take place after the finalQ: HAVE YOU SPOKEN TO PEOPLE FROM HOME/WORK- Most definitely, there was no choice about it, they've been bombarding my phone like mad, especially the army boxing team, they've been phenomenal - if you've seen the videos on social media, they've been bouncing off the walls / it's been cracking, my mums been on the phone to me every night crying, can't wait to get home to her / the boxing club back home in Macclesfield as well, I honestly couldn't ask for better / if it wasn't for them I wouldn't have pushed on so much / every time I've stepped in the ring I've thought of my mum, and I've just wanted to take myself and my mum to the top step of that podium; unfortunately I couldn't but I'll get there one dayQ: IN THREE YEARS MAYBE- It's not too far away is it / it's all experience, I've only been on Team GB for two and a half years, to achieve what I've achieved is pretty decent, a World medal, a European medal and now an Olympic medal to add to that collection, not doing too bad for myself.
